Visions: Chapter 1: The moose, the tiger and big brown bear.

Chapter 1: From Crimson to Ceylon

Once there was a moose living in a mass, dense forest. He was a big bulky fellow, with antlers as large as an adult mangoes tree branch, and nose as big as a small turtle's shell. He is coloured brown and had long muscular legs as strong as a zebras that could probably make a cow regret its curiosity with one good hit. He was a very shrewd and curious moose and also very lazy too, at times he would look at a bird's nest from below hoping to see how a baby bird's first flight would look like. He would walk along the riverside and watch the water flow like silk and the reflection of the bright crimson sun bouncing against the water and into the surrounding trees. It was very appealing to him, the way the rays would hug the trees just before it disappears into ceylon shadow, like the embrace of a beloved one just before departing, but knowing fully well that someday, somehow, you would see each other again. Often, he would just wait in the riverside all day and and see if something would jump up from the water. When dusk comes, he would sit under a large mango tree in a secret place located high on top a hill, watching the horizon for what seems like an eternity, waiting and yearning to find out if on that particular day something would pop out in the sky that one may call unusual, but most of the time if not always, nothing would happen. As the sun sets he would try to imagine how life could be any better, but of course, he couldn't.
